There seems to be a lot of support for Phelps being clean. partially because he's American. If he was chinese or Russian would that change your opinion?
It's obvious he and a lot of Olympians are on something but what? These athletes use substances that are years away from being discovered by the general mass and testing labs. In Carl Lewis's day he was jacked on HGH. Hi big jaw was evident. The IOC never thought of HGH as a performance enhancer and there were not any tests available.
Same with Balco. It was an unknown drug and there weren't any tests. As time goes on we'll learn about what the new drug de jour was for this Olympics.
Did you see that one Chinese broad that lifted over 400 pounds overhead? THIS IS A WOMAN WHO LIFTED OVER 400 POUNDS OVER HER FUCKING HEAD.
Bitch please. The Olympics are the testing ground for new research , new drugs , new ways of "cheating". Technically it's not cheating if there aren't any rules for it yet.
World records were broken like crazy, records from known juicers yet these people claim to have been clean while breaking a juicers record. Yeah sure.

Yeah, I think the patriotism blinds people. If there was some 6 foot 6 chinaman breaking every record known to man by a few seconds and winning Gold in everything he tried, most people would bet he was on drugs, if they had to bet their rent check.
These folks think it's unpatriotic to believe our guys use the gas. It's not. Everyone uses it.
I was at a club during the 8th phelps race, and everything stopped when he went. it was a 4 man relay and the whole place just stared for 3 minutes, then went absolutely apeshit when he won.
USA, baby. that's what it's all about. The playing field IS level. You know china has juiced 12 year old girls in competitions. And deep down, you know our guys are juiced too.
Phelps was talking about his testing on NBC. They test him almost every day, he said.
Perhaps this particular media article talked about Bolt, who came out of nowhere, while phelps has been olympia quality for 5 years now. And phelps is a hero here, so a media article on that woulnd't be popular or good for ratings.
they're both getting tested. they're both beating tests. they're both on GH.
he was given a gift
Phelps Finish Photos: Sorry, Not Available
http://olympics.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/08/16/phelps-finish-photos-sorry-not-available/?hpBEIJING — Soon after Michael Phelps claimed his seventh gold medal in a disputed finish in the 100 butterfly, Joe Ward, a graphics editor for The Times who sits next to me here in our office at the Main Press Center, hustled over to the Omega Pavilion down the block from the Water Cube. Omega, the Swiss watchmaker, is the official timekeeper for the Beijing Games. Joe wanted to find out if Omega had any underwater images from the Phelps-Cavic race that captured the wall touches more vividly than the photos we had seen.
Apparently Omega has underwater video that slows the action even more than the one-hundredth of a second that Phelps won by. A spokeswoman told Joe that Omega would soon send the images to the news media.
But when Joe returned to our office, he received an e-mail message from the spokeswoman. “Sorry but FINA decided not to release any timekeeping images to the media,” she wrote.
Christopher Clarey of The International Herald Tribune tracked down Cornel Marculescu, FINA’s executive director, at the Water Cube to ask him about the decision to not release the images. Marculescu said it was a matter of policy, and that the Serbian team was satisfied with the ruling after seeing the images — so there is no need to share the images.
Christopher pressed, asking why FINA wouldn’t distribute the footage if it showed the margin conclusively. Marculescu said: “We are not going to distribute footage. We are not doing these kinds of things. Everything is good. What are you going to do with the footage? See what the Serbians already saw? It is clarified for us beyond any doubt.
“He’s the winner in any way. He’s the winner no doubt. Even if you could see the pictures, I don’ t know how you could use them.”
